Risk  Intelligence

Risk intelligence combines information on compliance requirements, threats and current control to provide data evidenced, dynamic and transparent views of potential impacting events and the business changes that introduce weakness in cyber defences.

Businesses IT and Security departments have struggled for many years to clearly communicate the requirement and benefit of security investment. Risk Intelligence provides the common language for that communication.

Risk Intelligence underpins the governance boards require to effectively manage the threats posed by cyber threat actors, to understand their own, and their extended eco-system’s cyber security and resilience levels. These individual, collated and aggregated views provide an Intelligence picture of the risks being carried by your business, where investment would achieve the greatest return and track the selected improvements to successful outcomes.

Our analytical tools and processes provide boards, leaders and operational teams with the visibility and capability to continually assess, manage and improve security posture through the application and oversight of measured guardrails.

Risk Intelligence is an integral part of continuous cyber assurance and risk management.

In operating a risk intelligence cycle organisation is able to:

  • Establish common indicators of performance, risk and posture against desired outcomes (Key Performance Indicator (KPI), Key Risk Indicator (KRI) and Objective and Key Results (OKR)).

  • Measure and correlate multiple data points from multiple areas. As well as across multiple business units, sectors and geographies for the organisation and its eco-system.

  • Calculate centrally where weaknesses and strengths reside and track individually and collectively for the most cost-effective risk reduction.

Through these transparent mechanisms all areas of the business can be assured of their contribution to the organisation’s cyber health.
